About the St Neots club
Training in the St Neots Leisure centre, we have access to their great facilities. Our junior section is the biggest of all the Bedford Ju Jitsu clubs, and we have an equal number of adults (though adults and juniors do not train together). Students frequently visit the other Bedford Ju Jitsu clubs (Marston and Bedford).

As a Tae Kwon Do instructor (and Black Belt) I learn so much from the St Neots class – it supports my other styles, and the Sensei’s here have shown me how to combine TKD with Ju Jitsu for the best effect. Ultimately I’m a much better all-round martial artist as a result.
Coming to class at St Neots is so much fun. I attend with my wife and we practice together. It’s been great for boosting my confidence and it gets me fit at the same time!
What to expect from your martial arts lesson
Normally we follow a class structure that looks something like this:
- sign-in & make sure everyone is fit to train
- rei (formal bow as a mark of respect)
- warmup exercises
- breakfalling practice (learning / practicing how to roll properly)
- focus pad / kick shield work
- syllabus work (practiced in pairs with someone of similar level/ability)
- enhanced teaching (techniques outside of the syllabus)
- cool down
Techniques are practiced in a hands-on fashion wherever possible – helping students learn how to deal with opponents of different shapes and sizes
